The Thanksgiving holidays are almost here and that means lots of family fun in Katy and the Houston area for not only Thanksgiving but the Christmas holidays as well.

Many activities begin the weekend before Thanksgiving and of course there are many family activities and events to choose from.

WHBC Christmas Gift Bazaar- Nov 17 - 18th
Lighting of the Doves- 3-9pm, The Woodlands. Nov. 19th
2nd Annual Katy Bash - Nov 19th, Villagio Town Center
YMCA's Turkey Dash- 5K, 1 mile kids race, 1 mile family walk/run. Thanksgiving Day.
HEB Thanksgiving Day Parade- 9am in downtown Houston. Thanksgiving Day.
Thanksgiving Celebration- 10-6pm at The Children's Museum. Nov. 23rd.
Uptown Holiday Lighting- begins at 4pm on Post Oak Blvd between San Felipe & Westheimer. Nov. 24th.
24th Annual Wortham Tree Lighting Ceremony - 11am - 1pm, Nov 23rd at The Wortham Center
Renaissance Festival- 9am-dusk. Nov 26 & 27th
Houston Zoo- 9am-6pm. Open the whole week of Thanksgiving (including Thanksgiving Day, although it closes at 2pm)
City-Wide Annual Thanksgiving Feast- Thanksgiving Day at the George R Brown convention center. Great way to volunteer together. Call 713.523.1640
