Until early February, Parking Lot A near the Houston Zoo's main entry will be closed due to the final phase of the renovation of Hermann Park's Lake Plaza, a project of the Hermann Park Conservancy and the Houston Parks and Recreation Department.  

On January 5, the City of Houston also began reconstruction and realignment of North MacGregor, from North MacGregor Way to Almeda, so if you are approaching the Zoo via State Highway 288, please consider exiting at Holcombe.
