“First Steps” - Spiritual Marker 1 – Birth of a Child
Led by : Scott Fields, youth leader and mentor to students for over 20 years
Deepen your understanding of your relationship with God, your roles as husband and wife, the spiritual responsibility of early parenting, in the importance of seeking mentors and continued education and always be growing with your child as you serve God in and out of church.

“Buckle Your Seat Belts” - Spiritual Marker 3 – Preparing for Adolescence
Led by : Pastor Bud Turnage, Children’s Pastor at Second Baptist West Campus
Learn the art of faith talks and sex talks with your children, prepare yourself for what to expect and what is normal in the pre-teen years; i.e. attitudes, identity journey, etc. Learn the benefit and how to conduct family meetings, practicing spiritual disciplines, understanding love languages and how to play to your child’s strengths. Be informed about technology and what healthy boundaries are.

“Preparing to Launch” - Spiritual Marker 5 – Journey Into Young Adulthood
Led by : Pastor Chris Sedgwick, Student Pastor at Parkway Fellowship and wife, Jill Sedgwick
Prepare your high school age children to be responsible, to live within healthy boundaries, and how to make wise choices.

Special Feature : “I’m Losing Control”
Led by : Alexis Llewellyn, PhD. Licensed Christian Psychologist with Katy Center for Phychology & Counseling Services, Katy TX
Many times in the course of parenting, life just throws us curve balls and we find ourselves needing a little extra help with tough situations involving our children. It’s always easier if you are prepared rather than finding yourself going uphill on a battleground. Learn how to deal with rebellion, outbursts, anger and basic troubled areas that accompany strong willed or defiant children and when it is time to seek outside help.

“Purity for Life” - Spiritual Marker 4 – Pledge to Purity
Led by : Laura Gallier, Author of Choosing to Wait and Why Wait?: What Singles Need to Know About Sex and Dating
Learn more about spiritual purity for your child. This session includes discussion on how to have ongoing productive and impacting talks about sex, dating, and purity for life. Insulation versus isolation.

“Preparing My Child to Leave Home” - Spiritual Marker 6 – High School Graduation
Led by : Pastor Joe Carollo, Youth Pastor at The Fellowship at Cinco Ranch
Preparing your junior and senior children to leave home is no easy task. Many life skills need to be developed including being able to defend their faith and grasping God’s plan for their life. Explore financial lessons they need before leaving home, how to be prepared for college, the work force, the military, or marriage (and hopefully not the latter).
