Organizing Tip for Katy Parents: Thinking Outside the Box | Organizing Tip for Katy Parents: Thinking Outside the Box |
Little pieces, little toys. They seem to multiply and end up in places that are most annoying. As a parent, I am sure you have had the experience of stepping on sharp little toys and related pieces. OUCH! Let's not even talk about how your vacuum cleaner has been subject to destruction from these little monsters...
I want to introduce you to a product that I just love and recommend for toy cars (Hot Wheels, Matchbox, etc). It holds 48 cars, and is double-sided for maximum storage, and really is a great idea to easily store those teeny cars that seem to be scattered all over the house. But hold on to your hats readers! It can be used for a variety of uses. That is what I call ‘thinking outside the box’. Using items designed for specific storage, but coming up with other ideas to make multiple uses out of one product. Although this particular storage product was designed for toy cars, let me give you a few other ideas that it can be used for: Submitted by: Janine Godwin, CPO® for FreckleTown **Thanks to Janine, FreckleTown will be giving away TWO of these organizers to FreckleTown Members. Leave a comment about how you could use this product in order for your name to be entered into the drawing. Winners will be announced at the end of October.

![]() written by Melinda Swiger , June 26, 2009 I would use the organizer for my small scrapbooking supplies. I have many small punches and embelishment items that my 3 year old thinks are hers. This will enable me to keep them in a safe place. report abuse

written by Carrie Egg , October 23, 2008 I would like to say that I would so happily use them for my small scrapbooking embellishments. However, I am sure that they would go to organizing my son's cars and small accessories. report abuse

written by Nancy , October 15, 2008 This rocks ... it will be soo awesome for my son to store all of his cars. Then I'll recycle it for them to make it an educational treat (example -- uses it as a calendar with goals to achieve and then have hidden treats on special days as a reward). report abuse

written by Mandy Gunter , October 15, 2008 My daughter has recently gotten into Barbies as she is now of the age and interest level. She also recently celebrated her 5th birthday and received at least 10 Barbies with so many different accessories...and also received a doll house with lots of little trinkets and whatnots. She could definitely use this organizer and I could celebrate a neat and tidy room! report abuse

written by Trevor , October 04, 2008 I am a KraftyMomma and I have a million things to organize... Ummmm, sewing stuff, craft stuff, toy stuff, nuts n bolts, ribbon, sheesh, if I had like 20, my house MIGHT be free of all the little things everywhere. Oooooo, and business cards. Looks like they would fit. I might need like 10 or 12 for my Boutique. Hey!! I could do a hot glue thing and then they would be Boutique Organizers..... I like them, lots!! :0) Trevor report abuse

written by Violet Dinnebeck , October 02, 2008 My family has always made handmade Christmas ornaments. This would be a PERFECT way to help store all of the LITTLE and fragile pieces used to make them. report abuse

written by Kelly , October 01, 2008 I have boys, so the cars is obviously a good choice. I am a scrapbooker, so I can see it filled with embellishments. But since I also save the ribbon from gifts received, I think that this would be a great way to store it without getting them tangled with each other. The same holds true with jewelry like necklaces. Wow! The possibilities are endless. report abuse
