One acre of land in Old Katy, 5806 4th Street to be exact, is now home to The House of Drums and Bass.

The owner, Mark Ferow, has been living in Katy with his family for seven years. Mark has played with musicians and bands ranging from garage bands to national acts.

When asked why he opened "The House" he replied, "The families from my church needed some good lessons for their kids and my phone hasn't stopped since!"

Mark's goal for "The House" is to use music to bring families closer by having moms and daughters and sons and fathers taking lessons.

What does this mean for Katy? Katy now has a full service Drum and Bass Guitar shop that not only offers great deals on gear and repairs, but a recording studio, voice lessons, summer camps, guitar and drum lessons (for children 6 and up), and beginning August 22nd free concerts as well.

Now that's truly a place that can't be "beat"!
