War, poverty, famine, displacement…even foreclosure. All can leave people without shelter.

We often dream of a “place to call home”  and yet some live without even a roof over their heads. Whether homeless in America, or a refugee in a war torn country, we desire to  help those who help shelter the homeless.

Local:
Star of Hope is a Christ-centered community dedicated to meeting the needs of homeless men, women and their children.

Positive life changes are encouraged through structured programs which focus on spiritual growth, education, employment, life management and recovery from substance abuse.

Global:
Samaritan’s Purse – The rainy season has started in Haiti, and people still living on the streets urgently need shelter. Teams are constructing temporary shelters at the rate of about 1,200 per month, where families can live until they are able to rebuild. By the end of October, the goal is to have constructed a total of 7,500 shelters. Samaritan’s purse is committed to the Haitian people and will continue to work to meet critical needs, including medical care, food, clean water and sanitation, as well as shelter.
