This year the Firethorne Stampede auction team purchased six animals at the Katy I.S.D. Livestock Show, including the Reserve Champion Goat and fifth place goat, and sixth and eighth place rabbits, among others, to support the Katy I.S.D. Future Farmers of America (FFA.) 

The Firethorne Stampede was pleased to be able to purchase the eighth place winning rabbit raised by a Firethorne Guide employee, Shelby Jasso.  Shelby, a junior at James Taylor High School, has worked at Firethorne after school and summers for two years,” said according to Wayne Meyer, general manager of the 1,400-acre Firethorne master-designed community in Katy/Fulshear.
