Exciting New Year at The Children's Museum: Win Tickets

If you have not make the trek to The Children's Museum of Houston it's time to pack up the family (and a lunch) and go. There are so many exciting events they have planned for 2010 that there is bound to be a WonderWeek that will not only be fun for your children but fun for the adults as well.

The museum constantly changes its activities to bring new and exciting themes and ideas to life. Kids can learn about money and budgeting, their bodies and how they work, engineering skills as they build cars, rockets, and other flying machines and a myriad of other life skills that are brought to life through engaging their minds with hands-on activities.

To celebrate the New Year FreckleTown would like to give away 4 Family 4-pack tickets (tickets expire June 30, 2010).

To enter simply comment about your child's favorite activity at the museum or a New Year's Resolution your family has made for 2010.

Winners will be announced in next week's FreckleTown newsletter (1-13-10). If you have not joined FreckleTown now is your chance. You won't know if you've won without receiving the newsletter.

Goodluck!

To focus on the positives instead of the negatives in my life. My kids haven't been to the children's museum in awhile so don't really know what there favorite thing is!

Perfect timimg!! My daughter, Alex, just asked me last night if we could go back to that "really cool park" where you pretend you are shopping, cooking, playing veternarian, etc. I said, I think you are talking about The Children's Museum!!!! She said, "so...can we go?!!"

And for a New Year's Resolution...do a better job loving....like Jesus does. That is our family resolution!!!!

My 5 year old and my 3 year old both want to learn how to read. As a family we decided the one year old would learn how to talk and share without screaming. Daddy wants to be more aware his actions and Myself...I am going to take some "me time" without guilt and grow a healthy happy baby #4!

My kids love the new section of the Children's Museum. They go through it all and before you know it we have to leave. I hope we can win a family pass so that we can go more often. Thanks.

My 5 yr old and I went to the New Year's Noon event. She didn't seem to have one favorite activity, but the pedaling activity in the basement (to generate energy) kept her attention the longest; maybe it was the most challenging. We'd love to go back again soon!

We took the family last part of December. All three girls had a blast! They really loved climbing the big large climbing thing. My older ones 12 and 9 like swiping the powerplay card when they do an activity; especially after the physical activities. They loved the bank and having money in their account. My 3 yr old loved the outdoor water area, the HEB groceries and the restraunt. We could spend all day there. The improved parking is a big improvement. My husband said we will be coming back more often. He even wants to venture out and try more museums. Thank you. The changes are awesome.

My oldest daughter loves, loves the HEB fantastic exhibit! She swipes every kind of food, hogs the cash register, becomes bossy (which is funny) and then takes her picture numerous times in the photo booth. She could spend hours there! I think it makes her feel very grown up and oh, the creativity!!! My youngest could just play in the Baby/Toddler area all day and not get bored. The redo at the museum was surely a step up for my girls!!

My kids favorite part of the Children's museum is the outdoor water part. They come home soaked but it is all worth it when you see the smiles on their faces.

I have 3 boys and they all love different things at the Children's Museum. My 2 year old has only been twice, but both times he LOVED the Toddler section (the 2nd visit it was upstairs and had changed), especially the toddler-safe doors he could open and close as many times as possible. smilies/smiley.gif
My 9 year old LOVES the different vehicles he can get into and pretend to drive from the classic red car to the newer ambulance and police car.
My 7 year old LOVES to dress up and wear the different costume-type things they have there from the traditional Mexican garb to the newer police uniform.
We LOVE the Children's Museum and would DEFINITELY LOVE to go again!

P.S. Thanks you so much for Freckletown! I recommend it to all of my friends and family! I LOVE learning about all of the things to do and see here in Katy. We went to 3 of the Christmas Light displays listed in the newsletter and we all LOVED them! My 2 year old would try to name the colors as they changed in the displays set to music and continued to say "Pretty Lights." Thanks you for making this holiday season especially memorable for our family!
