Kids are only as good as they nutrition they receive. That is why Maseca would like to help parents get ready as they send their children back to school. Maseca is sponsoring a Back-to-School Nutritional Talk at the Children’s Museum of Houston with a guest speaker from the Houston Chapter of the American Diabetes Association (ADA).

ADA Educator Monica Martinez will speak to mothers about healthy lunch choices, tips on nutrition, portion control, children’s weight, decreasing risk of diabetes with food choices and other nutrition topics relevant to the back-to-school period.

Families may also enjoy an array of Maseca’s healthier, traditional food sampling and receive free recipe books; giveaways and prizes.

WHEN: Thursday, Aug. 20, 2009 5 – 8 p.m. Guest Speaker to commence at 6 p.m.
