WHAT: Based on the best-selling book series, “Martha Speaks” (pbskids.org/martha), is about a curious dog named Martha who starts to speak after eating a bowl of alphabet soup. Her newfound ability, combined with her imagination, sends Martha through a series of exciting and humorous adventures! This delightful and educational show has important lessons that will help improve kids’ vocabulary.

Enter a drawing that day to receive a copy of a “Martha Speaks” book signed by author, Susan Meddaugh! Then, keep the ball rolling with the following activities after the show:

• Make your own alphabet soup by fishing for letters and forming words from your catches
• Hear more about Martha’s adventures at the Parent Resource Library
• Sign-up for a Houston Public Library Power Card
• Meet Martha herself when she makes a special appearance
