Looking for ways to stretch your budget? This week will do just that. There are several great ways to save in Katy this week. All you need is a bit of preparation and you'll be ready to shop like a pro.

Many of the ways to stretch your budget this week are Halloween related promotions. (Remember to call your local store to make sure they are participating.)

16 Tricks for Getting Great Treats:

Kroger- MegaDeal Sale. Go here to learn about what is one sale. Then go here to print your coupons. There are LOTS of free items. A perfect time to stockpile soups and baking supplies.

HEB- .99/lb on pork loin. This is a good "stockup" price. (Thanks FreckleTown member, Kendra!)

Walgreens- $5 off costumes with in-store ad. Other deals here.

Target- free tuna, Johnson's buddies soap, facial scrub, and other great deals here.

Walmart- .13 Ore-Ida Fries and other deals here.

CVS- $1 Halloween candy and other deals here.

Halloween candy- There are $2/1 Nestle and $2/1 Willy Wonka coupons. Print them both twice.

Chipotle- Dress like a Chipotle burrito, taco, bowl or salad on October 31 and stop into any Chiptole store from 5 pm to close to get a free Chipotle burrito. (Not sure how you would dress like one of those but goodluck to those who try :-) )

Sears- Now through October 31 get a free photo collage with no sitting fee at Sears portrait studios.

Taco Bell- Stop into any Taco Bell from 6 pm to midnight on Halloween for a free Black Jack Taco. No costume and no coupon necessary.

Free Craft e-Book- Get a free e-Book full of Halloween craft ideas.

Michael’s- Spend the afternoon of Halloween doing free craft projects at Michael’s.

Ooh La La- Free mini-cupcake for the first 300 trick or treaters on Halloween at Ooh LaLa.

Applebee's- Kids 12 and under in costume will receive a free kid's meal (with the purchase of one adult entrée) for lunch or dinner at Applebee’s Oct. 31.

Bass Pro Shops- Free family events for Halloween from 4 pm to 7 pm Oct. 30 and noon to 4 pm Oct. 31.

Toys R Us- Free costume parade from noon to 3 pm Oct. 31. Kids will receive a free Halloween bag and treats.

Sonic- .50 corndogs Halloween night
