Magic and mystery take over the Children's Museum of Houston as it morphs into the McDonald’s® Halloween Mansion for two spine-tingling weeks, October 16 through 31! Families will have a ghastly good time trick-or-treating, experimenting with Martin goo, or making monster mosaics, among other thrilling activities!

Beware the night for that’s when the creepy creatures bite! Discover what lurks in the dark during our Halloween Creepy Creatures WonderWeek, October 16 through 22. Play Dr. Frankenstein and bring to life mystical monsters in Monster Mix-n-Match. Explore the venomous nature of spiders when you make frightening eight-legged Spider Hats or Spider Prints and find out why this menacing creature is simply misunderstood! Experiment with out-of-this-world glop to create the yuckiest Martian Goo. Check out or Mad Science Lab and see Wiggly Worms and Sewer Creatures flourish from your own concoctions. Come across the uncanny creatures that play at night at EcoStation and find out whether it’s superstition or truth of bad luck when a black cat walks in front of you as you create tantalizing Black Cat Halloween Cards. Who will you send them to?

Plus, cast an eerie spell during our Halloween Tricks and Spells WonderWeek happening October 23 through 30, when we’ll show you the tricks of making nerve-wracking masterpieces using shadows and imagination in our Spooky Shadows and Ghost Drawing activities. Join real-life mad scientists on their quest to simmer sinister potions or mix up your own ingredients and come up with the grossest Slime or sweetest Rock Candy. Discover the “magic” behind ghostly bubbles and glimmering glow sticks. Enjoy an exciting twist on a Halloween classic and Capture the Bobbing Apple. And if you dare, trick-or-treat through the haunting hallways of our hair-raising Mansion each day during our two-week Halloween celebration! Carve out some ghastly good times with Halloween spirit!

Then, howl at the moon while you bask in our Monster Mash Bash—Houston’s ultimate Halloween party for kids, on October 31, when we’ll remain open until 8 p.m.! Groove to the beat in your costume while enjoying the fang-tastic sounds of DJ Beetlejuice. Be shocked when you unravel the mysteries of static electricity or get taunted as you try to decipher “just how did he do that?” in the enchanting Ronald McDonald® Magic Show. Admission will be just $3 from 3 – 8 p.m., so be sure to hang around for a spell!
