Visitors are invited to take a self-guided tour of the Katy Prairie Conservancy’s Nelson Farms Preserve at KPC’s Open Trails event.  Summer is a great time to see the bold and the beautiful on the Katy Prairie. You can discover this world of picturesque flora and fauna for yourself by attending. KPC will provide you with an informative, full-color interpretive guide that will help you understand this special place and the animals, plants, and people who depend on it.  A special podcast will also be available for this event.  All participants should wear appropriate outdoor clothing - including closed-toe shoes and long pants.  A long-sleeve shirt is also recommended.  Participants should bring their own insect repellent and water. Participants who own binoculars are encouraged to bring them along for the tour.  No registration required for this event.   This event is free of charge.  Visit katyprairie.org/directions.html for directions.
