According to the Paper Aircraft Association, a paper airplane thrown in space will not fly; it will float in a straight line. Unless it hits an object, it could literally float forever!

You’re invited to come to the Children’s Museum of Houston to explore the properties of air resistance: lift, drag, gravity and thrust and let your imagination float up, up and away!

·         Paper Chopper: Helicopters can go sideways and backwards unlike any airplane.  Bring out the inner copter and pilot your versatile machine at Junktion.

·         Parachute Drop:  What material is best for a parachute?  Select a weight and make three designs out of different materials at Junktion.

                                           ·         Origami Planes: Origami means Ori, “folding,” and kami, “paper.” You can experiment with this ancient art of origami to create realistic three dimensional planes at the Alexander Art Academy.
