Ready to Roll Day is a five year tradition at Beckendorff Junior High. Students bring in pennies that are collected for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and while their teacher makes penny rolls, the students take a break from classwork. This is typically done on a half-day of instruction, and students have raised more than $50,000 during the last five years, making Beckendorff the top fundraising school for the Gulf Coast region.
