Children's Museum of Houston hosts Peace Rally

Free Refreshments and Snacks for King Day of Service Volunteer Families

WHAT:  Dream big!  Martin Luther King, Jr. had a dream which became a reality. Why should your dreams be any different?  Join the Children’s Museum of Houston as we celebrate Dr. King’s life and pay tribute to his legacy during our MLK Day Celebration. Enjoy an inspiring day filled with eloquent speakers, music and a peaceful march down Kid’s Hall.  Plus, we encourage all families with young children to take a break from their volunteering duties and swing by the Museum for free refreshments and snacks in observance of King Day of Service.

SPECIAL EVENTS:  Peace Rally: Join us as we participate in a peaceful march down Kid’s Hall.Event Time: Noon

                  King Day of Service:  Take a Break!  Are you a family with young children volunteering?  Stop by for refreshments and snacks on us! (While supplies last) Event Time:  1 p.m.

                            ON-GOING ACTIVITIES:

Volunteers Promise: Make a certificate to give to your school or other organization promising to perform some type of community service for them.

FUNDRED Project:  Donate your art on a FUNDRED bill to help provide clean safe soil for a community in need.

Dream Wall Notes:  Write your dream in a note to be added to our Dream Wall.
