WHAT: Investigate further into the world of science as the Children's Museum of Houston brings you Junior Scientists WonderWeek. These activities help our younger visitors grasp the many exciting concepts of science just in time for school. All activities are based on science standards from the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS). Think hard and have a blast during this science-filled week.

ON-GOING ACTIVITIES:
Sort it Out: Which object belongs to each category? Learn how to sort through various objects and group them in this matching game.
How Big? How Much?: Discover concepts of weights and measurement with blocks and scales.  Find out how big or small various pieces of fruit are.
 Dr. Vet: Nose, Ears, Legs and Eyes: Check up on our furry patients as you get to play vet at this activity!
FETCH! Challenge Lab: Come celebrate the Season 4 premiere of FETCH! with Ruff Ruffman on PBS/Channel 8 with some fun, exciting FETCH! activities.

SPECIAL EVENTS:
Snap Circuits:  Get a crash course in electronics as you create an alarm, a song machine, a flying saucer, or even a working FM radio!
September 3, 4, 8, & 9: Times Vary
Blinky Bugs:  Using a button battery and LEDs, build creatures whose eyes flash only when their antenna move. FEE-Based Workshop= $3
September 5, 6 & 7: Times Vary
Moon Sand:  Sand that never dries out? What a great substance to use as a structural engineering challenge! Thursday, September 3: 6-7:45 p.m.
Tom’s Fun Band: Spotlight Performance. Come sing and dance with a band that knows how to have fun. Thursday, September 3: 6:30 p.m. Saturday, September 5: 2 p.m.
