WHAT:           On September 12, Katy and West Houston Alzheimer’s Association Memory Walk participants will join walkers in communities across the country as they walk with a purpose – that of moving towards a world             without Alzheimer’s. 

The Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk is the nation's largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer care, support and research. Over two thousand walkers participated in greater Houston area Memory Walks last year raising over $500,000 for local Alzheimer's care, support, and research.

WHEN:           Saturday, September 12

                        7:00 a.m. – Registration

                        8:00 a.m. – Walk (5K)

DETAILS:       Walk will be held rain or shine and is dog and wheelchair/stroller friendly.  Registration is free, but participants are encouraged to raise $100 to further programs offered by the local chapter of the Alzheimer's Association. Participants can register on-site or online at www.alztex.org.  Individuals raising $100 will receive a 2009 Memory Walk t-shirt.
