Forget the hot summer weather! Take the plunge into Camp FlowWorks. FlowWorks unleashes a tsunami of wet, wild fun. This state-of-the-art exhibit dives into the forces and properties of water through currents, vortices and rapids, exploring the fascinating concept of fluid dynamics! It’s not only about playing with water, but about experimenting with it.
- Junk Boat Regatta: Daily Special. Bounties of buoyant boats battle for best. Build your own “green” boat and sail it along a race course. Test it in FlowWorks exhibit.
- Will It Float?: Daily Special. Time to bust some myths about what does and doesn’t float! Will a bowling ball, bag of ice, a wooden stool and big jar of olives float in a giant tank of water? You vote, we’ll see it if floats! Bring something and we may test it, too!
- Steel Appeal: Spotlight Performance. Come watch this trio turn your favorite songs into steel pan melodies.
- Sail Car Races: Have you ever wondered how a car with a sail would work? Come do it and see what wind power does to it.
- Race to Fill It Up: Find out how long it takes to fill a cauldron with pom-poms. The catch: you can only use tongs, no hands.
- Camp FlowWorks: H2O Fun. Cool off with fun water-based experiments. Learn how water plays a role in air pressure, density and volume.
- Aquatic Life: Changes and Adaptations. How do aquatic-based organisms live in the water? Visit the EcoStation and see the changes amphibians go through.
