Miles of paved trails for walking, jogging, cycling

This is a nice playground surrounded by picnic tables, pavilions, and open fields. The playscape is nice, though smaller toddlers may not enjoy it as much. The open fields are great for kite flying, but the wind is often strong, so a lighter kite might have trouble. There's also a permanent restroom facility.

The Katy City Park contains 19.93 acres of land. Most of the area has lights, and there is a paved jogging trail winding through the park. This park features 4 softball fields, 1 hardball field, 2 concession stands, 6 tennis courts,a covered basketball pavilion and a large, new play structure. Adjacent to the playground is an air-conditioned building and covered area that can be reserved for a fee.

This 5.5 acre park facility features an indoor heated, handicapped-accessible, Olympic-sized swimming pool with fully equipped barrier-free dressing rooms. It also features a beautiful playground containing equipment designed to promote integrated play between disabled and non-disabled children. The park is run by Harris County Precinct Three to provide Harris County residents with therapy for the disabled, adult exercise programs, and instruction for all ages through the American Red Cross. Some featured programs include: Adapted Aquatics Lessons, Water Aerobics, Adult Lap Swim, and Adult Instruction.

Thomas Park is sometimes used for outdoor weddings and photography because of its gazebo and wonderful park-like setting. Smaller children are drawn to its "little people's" playground equipment, and parents appreciate the paved walking path and benches located throughout the park.

Katy’s VFW park is nestled among many large oak trees and is shady most of the time. This park has a large covered picnic pavilion, barbecue pits and tables scattered throughout the park, and an area featuring playground equipment.. A ball field is located just east of the VFW Hall and can be used by the public.
