Superman's Birthday Party

YOU’RE INVITED TO SUPERMAN’S BIRTHDAY

Faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, able to leap tall buildings in a single bound. It's a bird, it's a plane, no, it's Superman! The Man of Steel will “fly in” to the Children’s Museum of Houston to celebrate his own birthday on June 30th. We’re throwing him a birthday bash complete with “Happy Birthday” singing, supersized “cake”, and dancing.

Come dressed as your favorite superhero and receive 50 percent off admission, June 23 – 30.

Movies for the Summer

The anticipation, the smell of popcorn, the comfy seats, and the huge screen all make the movie-going experience exciting. Movies are a great way to beat the summer heat and help entertain your kids (and you) for awhile.

Here are a few that won't break the bank.

Alamo Theatre: FREE- 11:00 AM, M-F Movie calendar
Cinemark: $1 admission- 10:00 AM, T & W Schedule

You can also drive out to Showboat Theatre, a drive-in, for an evening of fun. Pack a dinner and go early. There is a small playground for the kids to play on. They do sell concessions and there are bathrooms but if the drive-in is full it's very difficult to get to both. My suggestion: pack your own snacks and take a small training potty :) $5 admission per person for the double feature. Starting on Friday 6/24- Screen 1: Cars 2 (G) with Pirates of the Caribbean (PG13) and Screen 2: Green Lantern (PG13) with X-Men (PG13)

I'm sure we'll be counted among the million or so that see Cars 2 this weekend. I've been waiting forever for that movie to come out, LOL. I think I love kid movies just as much as my kids do. Have a great weekend!
