Today I would like to officially announce our Katy Speed Camp. The camp is being taught by one of only three Youth Fitness Specialists in the entire Houston/Katy Area, Jason Harley. The certifications enables him to design programs that are specifically designed for youth.

This summers Speed Camp is limited to 15 student athletes, so if you want to ensure that your child improves over the summer, contact us today to reserve a spot. We are offering a special rate on the Speed Camp until June 7th.

WHAT: 2010 KVPAC Books Alive! Festival
WHEN: Saturday May 29, 2010 --Sittings at 10:00 AM & 12:00 PM

WHAT: Calling all book lovers to join the greatest book bash in town! The fun begins with special animal farm face painting followed by a featured performance of KVPAC's own Books Alive's! Boo Hoo Moo. There will be a book fair, prize drawings, crafts, and performers will be available for autographs and photos after the show. Complimentary Pizza lunch by Candelari's.

TICKETS: All seats are $10 each, A Reserved Table of 8 is $100. (All seats cost the same regardless of age. A parent MUST accompany children to this event).

WHAT:  The thrilling competition of mixed creativity and engineering that gives kids a chance to patent an idea for free is back! Children in Kindergarten through Eighth Grade will take imagination to the next level as they compete to show off their own inventions.  Winners in each age category will be recognized and the Grand Prize winner will receive a free patent application.           

EVENT LINE-UP:
Inventors Showcase Competition: 8:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the Kid’s Hall.
Registration and set-up: 8:30 – 9:30 a.m.
Judging: 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Final Judging: 1 – 2 p.m.
Awards Ceremony: 2:30 – 3 p.m. in the Brown Auditorium.

Second Saturday of every month open at 9 a.m. for members.
General Museum admission: $8 per person and $7 for seniors 65+ and for military personnel. Children under one and Museum Members receive free admission.
