LaCenterra announces its Summer Sounds concert series for 2010. The sounds begin this Thursday, June 10, with Jalea, Houston's hippest young Latin dance band.

The concerts will be on Thursdays from 6-9pm in Heritage Square.

July 8- No concert scheduled
July 15- Jawad & Friends

*The Summer Sounds series will be held weather-permitting. Lawn chairs and blankets welcome. Courtyard beverage service will be provided by Fish City Grill. No outside alcohol permitted.

Mission Centers of Houston serve impoverished communities in the inner city of Houston, TX by providing for the physical and spiritual needs of people. Ministries include:  Food and Clothing Distribution, Kids’ Clubs, Preteen & Teen Clubs, Christian Women’s Job Corps, Senior Adult Ministry, E.S.L. Classes and more!

Charasia

God has given Charasia the opportunity and privilege to care for and build into the lives of 35 wonderful girls from 5 to 18 years of age. Some of our children have no parents. Some are from very poor families where they are not even able to get one meal a day and some only have a mother who is very poor. Some rescued from a life that would lead to slavery and/or prostitution. They are cared for with love and attention. Their spiritual formation is a key area of focus for us as we reflect to them love and character of our Lord. We provide for their education, boarding and lodging. This is their home and we feel blessed for what God has allowed and enabled us to do.
